Our traditional wrought iron gates are made from extremely strong wrought iron and are far superior to other gate materials, such as wood or aluminium. This is because wrought iron is not only highly durable and dent resistant but won't easily bend or warp over time. Wrought iron is also far more resistant to rust than other metals, which makes it especially suitable for the inclement British climate.

Wrought iron gates have been used for centuries, both to protect properties against theft but also to repel attack. They were most popularly used, however, as decorative statements of wealth and power, in the opulent townhomes of late Victorian well-to-do society.

Today, wrought iron gates are mainly used for security purposes while, at the same time, offering a sense of elegance and decor to the property. When sufficiently high, they are difficult to climb over and act as an effective deterent to theives and other intruders.
